Here you are spending time with mommy. I just don't think it's possible to have too many photos of you... Look how sweet you are. I realize I'm partial, but you're just so beautiful little girl...

Napping in your Crib
Today for the first time we decided to see how you liked napping in your crib during the day. You slept in there for about 20 minutes or so and I thought that was pretty successful for your first crib nap! It's hard to believe that you're already almost two weeks old. I'm really starting to feel what they say... time truly does fly by and it feels like you're growing up so quickly.

Spending Time with Daddy!
Daddy's work allowed him to be off for 2 full weeks when you were first born. He has been eating up every second of the time he gets to spend with you. He truly is the best daddy in the world and seeing the two of you together just makes my heart melt. You are definitely daddy's little girl already! In fact, for the first few weeks, you only wanted to sleep on daddy's chest at night. I know he sure misses that...

First Easter
For your first Easter, you were of course 10 days old, and you got to spend it with a ton of your family. Your Grandma Colleen, Grandpa Mike, Aunt Tina, Uncle Tyler and Cousin Mason were still here visiting you from California so we all headed over to Nana and Papaw's house for a big family dinner. We met Uncle B, Aunt Kristen, Uncle Kraig, Aunt Connie, Cousin LoLo, Uncle Spencer, Uncle Mikey and Aunt Nikki over at Nana and Papaw's house and had a great time!!
You got all dressed up in your Sunday best for this Easter dinner party...
Here's part of the gang hanging out before dinner...
Here is Uncle Mikey. This is the first time the two of you met and he just fell in love with you. You were his little doll that night...
Here you are with Aunt Nikki. This was also the first time that Aunt Nikki got to hold you. I can't say that her and Uncle Mikey weren't fighting over you that night, because they definitely were. Nikki thought you were the prettiest baby. She kept telling us that she thought you were a wonderful combination of both your dad and I!! I still think you look like daddy : )
Here you are with Uncle B. Look at how you liked to scrunch up in a ball...
Here you are with Aunt Krissy. I can't believe what a dark skinned baby you were. You definitely didn't get that from your mom and dad. I think it might have come from Aunt Krissy. Maybe she snuck you out for a secret mystic tanning session??!!!
Here you are with Grandma Colleen. What a sweet little bug...

Swing Time
We put you in your swing that Granny Toni and Grandpa David got for you for the first time today. You were loving it at first, just sleeping away...
But we pushed our luck and left you in it for just a little too long...
I have a feeling that you'll start to like it much more once you're old enough to actually play and appreciate it! Thanks again Granny Toni and Grandpa David!!

Penelope & Sherman
So your little pupplies, Nelly and Sherman, were definitely confused when we first brought you home. They've sort of been the center of our world until you arrived so I think they were feeling a little left out when you came home. We thought that Nelly was going to be very jealous and that Sherm might just go about his normal day to day business. Sherman definitely did just that. Nelly seems to be more curious about you than we thought. Instead of being jealous, she seems to be more protective of you. She is always checking on you when you cry and loves to come lay on the rug in your room when you're being changed. Both Nelly and Sherm love to come over and give you kisses. Here they are checking on you...

Visiting with the CA Family!
Your Grandma Colleen, Grandpa Mike, Aunt Tina, Uncle Tyler and baby Mason were here for 2 whole weeks to visit with you!! We truly don't know what we would have done without their help. Who knew it was such a handful to take care of a newborn... : ) Honestly though, I know they enjoyed every second of the time that they got to spend here with you and had a really, really hard time leaving. Mom was definitely crying at the airport when they left because she knew it would be a while until they got to see you in person again! But, there is a positive side. We all have webcams now and they get to see you weekly over the computer. They love getting to talk to you and see you grow.

First Bath
We decided it was time to give you your first sponge bath. As you can tell from the photos, you were freezing and didn't really enjoy it so much. But, we had to get a baby girl all pretty and clean... I promise it lasted all of about 3 minutes or so : )
You went from sleeping in your bassinet so peacefully...
to being not so happy as I started to undress you for your bath...
Now you're warm, cozy and happy baby again...

First Nail Trimming
Those nails were extremely long when you came out, especially the thumb nails. We needed to get them trimmed ASAP so that you wouldn't keep scratching up your face. Mom tried first using the baby nail clippers with the magnifying glass, but that didn't work so well. Your little nails were so soft and thin that the clippers wouldn't cut the nail. Then dad took over with the baby scissors. That worked perfectly! I made dad do it because I was scared of cutting your little fingers. Luckily he completed the first nail trimming job without even a little cut! Nice job daddy!! You slept through the entire thing...
