Today was the first day you were exposed to swimming. We have yet to be able to make it out to the lake for you to swim, so we picked up a kiddy pool for you to play in...
Here you are getting in your Little Mermaid Ariel little swimmers. They don't make them small enough for you so these are huge, but it's still better than having to swim in a regular diaper... Look how cute you are!
Here you are dressed in your two-piece ready to swim. Thanks to LoLo for letting us borrow one of her old bathing suits that she had grown out of. What a nice cousin!! : ) Look at that pot belly...
Here you are in the pool with daddy. You love to splash in the bath, but I guess the pool just didn't inspire those same crazy kicky-pants. You just wanted to relax that day and sit in the water with daddy. No interest in splashing or kicking, but you still had fun...
Here you were after your pool adventure. Tired and naked... : )
Just a side note, when we were getting you dressed in your bathing suit you started rubbing your feet together again. You've been doing this a lot lately and you'll rub them together for a really long time. Daddy always compares you to mommy because he says that when I'm falling asleep at night, I always rub my feet together, not realizing that I'm doing it. Looks like you're just like mommy, a little feet rubber...

Chuck E. Cheese
Today was your first exposure to Chuck E. Cheese! LoLo was having a special birthday party since she was turning 2 years old and you wanted to be there to celebrate with her! You weren't big enough to play with any of the older kids yet, but you were cheering them on from the sidelines while Nana held you.

Larry & Robin
You got to meet Uncle Larry and Cousin Robin today for the first time. They came all the way from CA to see you! You had a great time playing with them that afternoon. They even brought a special dress and headband with them as a gift for you. Larry told us that Aunt Deanne picked it out special for you. It's so cute and it's sized so it will fit you perfectly around your 1st birthday. We already have plans to take your 1 year photos in it. It is so pretty and you will be beautiful in it. We can't thank Uncle Larry, Aunt Deanne and Cousin Robin enough for the gift and we're so grateful they got to meet you while they were here. We missed you Aunt Deanne!

Bottle Holding and Soap Watching!
You're such a big girl now that you're starting to try and hold your own bottle. It still weighs too much when it's full for you to be able to hold it on your own, but here's a photo of you trying...
You also seem to think you're big enough to watch soap opera's too! Mom always records General Hospital and watches it when she gets home from work. Today, I turned it on and was in the kitchen picking up when I looked over to find you intently watching it. It was hysterical. I told your dad you were starting young...
Daddy even came over to pick you up to play with you and you can see from the photo below that you just couldn't tear your eyes away. You're an addict already, how silly!! : )

July 4th!
This was your first July 4th holiday! We went over to Nana and Papaw's on the 3rd to celebrate with them and have dinner because they were going to the cabin for the weekend and wouldn't be here on the 4th. Here you are dressed very patriotically as America's Sweetheart. You really wanted to wear your shades over to Nana and Papaw's too, so who was I to tell you no... : )
Since you were so little this year, we obviously didn't want to expose you to any of the loud firework noises so we stayed home on the 4th and watched some of the pretty fireworks from the house. Okay, so mommy and daddy watched some of the pretty fireworks from the house. You had already fallen asleep for the night. But I'm sure it was quite an experience for you too!

3 Month Photos
We had Kieran's 3 month photos taken at JCPenney and we just love how they turned out. She was a real trooper and hung in there through all of the outfit changes. Look at how sweet she is...

Bouncing Again
You're in your bouncer all the time now and you're getting more and more expressive. Here's a video of you trying to tell mommy that you're hungry...
Here are just some more cute photos from that day...

Hands & Toys in Mouth
Since the beginning of the month, you've been practicing sucking on your own hands. Every time we turn around you have your hands in your mouth and occasionally we'll find you sucking your thumb. I wouldn't classify you as a thumb-sucker but you do stumble on them occasionally while figuring out your hands...
Just recently you've been trying soooo hard to figure out how to put a toy in your mouth on your own. You've been so close on multiple occasions and then you get so frustrated that you start crying and we have to take your toy away in order to calm you back down. Today, you actually did it for the first time and we were so excited for you...
Here's a video of you trying to put your toy in your mouth and finally succeeding...

First Day of Daycare
Today was your first day at daycare. I took you for part of the day (3 hrs) as a small exposure before your first full day on 7/1 when mommy goes back to work. Ms. Chelsea and Ms. Mary Anne said you did awesome and from everything that I could tell, you really seemed to like it today.
Here you are getting all cleaned up for the next day of school. A girl's gotta look pretty for school...
Anticipating the washcloth and preparing to eat it...
Look at that crazy hair... Poor thing got her mama's hair! : )
All ready for another day of school tomorrow...

Father's Day
This was your daddy's first Father's Day and I know he couldn't have dreamed of spending it with a sweeter little girl! Your daddy told me this was a perfect Father's Day for him.
He got to spend the morning cuddling with you on the couch watching food network. What more could a daddy ask for! Since daddy loves to cook, he is trying to expose you now so that you can spend as much time in the kitchen cooking with him as possible. He can't wait for that...
We both thought daddy might enjoy some blueberry pancakes for breakfast so while he took a quick nap we made a special batch for him. You let him know just how much you love him by personalizing his pancakes with your blueberry "I Love Dad" message...
You made sure to write daddy a special message on the fridge whiteboard too for him to discover later in the day...
Daddy opened his gifts from you and loved them both. You made one of them with your own two hands (and feet)! You also got him a digital photo frame. We thought daddy could take both to work to keep at his desk. That way, he's always reminded of the sweetest little gift that he has to come home to! I think daddy had the best Father's Day ever and it's all because of you sweet pea! Thank you for blessing our lives and for making daddy a daddy!!
