Naked Baby!

I decided to take you out for a walk through the neighborhood again so you could get out of the house. Since you're such a hot natured baby and you were so sweaty by the time we got back, I decided to strip you down so you could cool off. You were more than okay with that since you love naked time. Once you cooled down a little, you drifted off to sleep...

About that time daddy and granny came home from watching a movie. They had stopped by the promenade and granny couldn't resist buying you a precious little sundress with matching bonnet and flip flops. So of course, we all couldn't resist at least putting the bonnet and flip flops on you to model : ) You looked so cute! Photos of the sundress to come, I'm sure...

Sleeping Noises

When you sleep you make the sweetest little sqealing noises. We're not quite sure what you're dreaming about, but we hope they're sweet dreams little girl!

We were finally able to capture a quick video on the camera. (sorry for the quality of the video and how quiet it is, you'll probably have to turn the volume up really high to hear it)...

Hanging Out

So dad was working on the computer in the office and we decided we wanted to go spend some time with him. I took you in there for your first big girl "sit up on your own" time. Okay, so maybe it ended up being more of a big girl "slouching" time than "sit up on your own" time but you still did great! Getting stronger every day!

Also, let me apologize to you in advance for your greasy comb-over hair. You were very due for a bath and we hadn't gotten to it yet that day... Love you!

So I'm guessing by your yawning that you weren't as impressed by your new found skill as I was... : )

Mother's Day

This was the best first Mother's day that I could have ever hoped for!! When I woke up, I walked out to flowers that you and your daddy had gotten me. Then your dad made me (and his mom, Granny, who got to be here to celebrate with us) his very special banana pancakes for breakfast. I'm sure you would have helped him cook if you were just a little bit older...

Then I got to open the precious card that you picked out for me all on your own ; ) It was soooo sweet. Daddy got me a very sweet card too with lots of lovey-dovey mushy things written inside but I'm sure you don't want to know about that. You and Daddy also got me an extra special gift. It was a silver necklace with two interlocking loops. The larger loop represents me and the smaller attached loop represents you, my sweet little girl!! I couldn't help but cry as I opened everything!! I make sure I wear my necklace everywhere, so that even if you're not with me, I'm thinking about you and you're close to my heart. I love you sweet pea.

Thank you daddy (and baby girl) for what I know will be the most memorable Mother's day ever! I love you both so much and am forever grateful to you both for making me a mommy!

Mother's Day (A Day Early)

We celebrated Mother's Day with Nana on the 9th and went over to Aunt Kissy and Uncle Brian's for a bbq. Everyone of course had a ton of fun holding you and playing with you...

This is the photo we chose to give to Nana (it was the product of our photo shoot with LoLo). She loved it!!

LoLo decided she wanted to try on a baby carseat for size again...

And then realized she had her baby with her and needed to put her in your carseat for safety...

Photo-Op with LoLo

For mother's day, part of our gift to Nana was going to be a photo of you and cousin LoLo. We wanted to make sure Nana had a photo that she would be able to put in her "Nana's Angels" frame that she made this past Thanksgiving at the cabin. So we went over to LoLo's house to try and get some good shots. We ended up with a perfect one for Nana, but here are some of the two of you posing together...

Here we were on the bed in the spare bedroom and LoLo was rolling all over like a crazy girl laughing and having a good old time. You decided at that moment to not be so happy... : )

Here you are spending some time with Aunt Con while we were over for our photo shoot!

LoLo came over to hug you and her mommy too!

You were really wanting your paci so LoLo was right there to help you with it...

And then it was time to give hugs goodbye...

Posing Again!

Today we were in your room playing with you and discovered that you really like your pink fuzzy rug that lays at the foot of your crib. It's so soft and fuzzy that you were having a blast kicking around on it...

Then I was trying to make you pose, yet again...

You worked up quite an appetite with all that playing and posing...

And afterwards you went into what we like to refer to as your "milk coma." See for yourself! You are so full after your bottle that you have no energy to do anything and you just pass out :) You're my little limp noodle...

Granny & Grandpa David Visit

Granny and Grandpa David waited so patiently for their trip out to see you. They came for two whole weeks and loved every second that they got to spend with you!

When we picked them up from the airport, Granny started crying the minute that she saw you because she said you were just so beautiful. Grandpa David actually got to see you first at the airport since he spotted you through the back hatch while we were loading their luggage. He loved rubbing that in to Granny :)

When they first got here, Grandpa David told us that he wasn't ready to hold you just yet because he felt much more comfortable with babies that were a little older. I'll give it to him that newborns seem just so fragile, so it's definitely a little scary! But... when Granny and Grandpa watched you for a few hours so that mom and dad could have a date day together, Granny told us when we got home that Grandpa David was asking her to give you to him to take care of, feed, hold, etc. We have the photos below to prove it!! You sucked him right in with your sweetness... : )

While Granny and Grandpa were here, we actually took you on your very first outings. We went to Breakfast two times while they were here. You were a complete angel both times and slept through the entire meal!

Granny and Grandpa David loved being here with you so much! Mom and Dad appreciated them being here so much too. It was a huge help and you certainly loved every moment that you got to spend playing with them!! It was so hard for both of them to leave you. In fact, Grandpa David even tried to get out of his Pennsylvania trip so that he could stay here longer with you!! He he... We won't tell Betsy! Granny was so sad to leave you but the good news is that because she knew even before she left how much she would miss you, she's already planning to come back before Christmas to see you again!! Thank you Granny and Grandpa David for everything!!

Bracelet?

So daddy was working with you today on learning how to grip your toys. You had been holding this ring in your hand for a long time and had a strong grip going. Daddy and I started working on some things in the kitchen and left you to play in your boppy. The next thing we knew you had let it slide down your arm and made it into a bracelet! What a smart little girl! Already learning from her mom and aunties how to accessorize : )

Posing with Mommy

So I have a really hard time not kissing you all of the time and I'm constantly snapping photos of you. Here are some shots where I made you pose with me and had dad take pictures. I'm sure you're really going to love me doing this to you when you're old enough to know what's going on!!
