The change in your hair color is really visible now. It was much darker when you were teeny-tiny but it's really starting to change to be a brownish-red color (more like mommy's hair color). This is just a silly photo that shows your hair color changing. You can see the darker color that it originally was on the ends, and the newer color growing out from the roots. How funny that you have two-tone hair color right now!! Still just soooo cute!
Just a side note, you're really starting to babble well now. You're saying da-da all the time and daddy is just eating it up!! Don't think he's not rubbing it in to mommy every chance he gets because he is : ) Here's a video of you chatting it up with us while you were eating. We just love listening to you...

Laughing all the Time
As of lately, you really love playing the "where's Kieran" game. Sometimes you even jump from being startled as we turn back towards you saying "there's Kieran" but it's almost like you love that even more than not being startled. It's crazy!! You start laughing hysterically. Here's a video of you playing with daddy. What a sweet pea you are. I could listen to you laugh all day...

Rice Cereal
You had your first exposure to rice cereal and you love it!!! We can hardly feed you the next bite fast enough. You're always sitting there with your mouth open waiting for the next bite. You're such a good little eater baby girl! Here you are waiting for the next bite, as usual...
It's so cute to watch you eat. You get so excited waiting for the next bite that you ball your hands into fists and start shaking while holding your mouth open. Here's a perfect example! Enjoy this little video clip...
Thursday night of this week we came home after daycare and it was time to eat your cereal. This was Daddy's night to golf so we took a picture of you posing and sent it to him to make him smile. Here is the pic of you waiting ever so patiently for your cereal with your feet up, kicked back in your high chair. You love to put your feet up in your high chair! Such personality. I hope you don't ever change baby girl!!

Napping in your Swing
You love being in your swing all the time now. It's pretty much your favorite place to take a nap. When we can't get you to take a nap in your bed (you like to fight those at this point) :) we can pretty much always get you to nap in your swing. You'll be playing and playing in it and the next thing we know, you've passed out from exhaustion.
You were due for a nap here too but were really not wanting to take one. So, we put you in your swing to let you watch Little Mermaid (you love the colors and movement on TV right now)...
And you were out... : )

Bumbo, Again!
You are definitely okay with sitting in your bumbo now. You'll sit in it for a while now to watch the colors on the TV or to play with some of your toys. We're making progress, especially considering that you used to hate it and start crying the second we put you in it. You're getting to be a much stronger sitter, you get to leaning after a while, but you just keep on trying...

Covered Eyes to Sleep
Lately, you've really been fighting taking naps, unless you're able to cover your eyes to block out the light. You'll use anything that's nearby. Today, you chose to use your burp cloth... A baby needs her beauty sleep and will do anything to get it! Looks like you are a lot like cousin Mason. When he was here visiting you, he would completely cover his head with a blankie to sleep. Too cute!!

First Swim
Today was the first day you were exposed to swimming. We have yet to be able to make it out to the lake for you to swim, so we picked up a kiddy pool for you to play in...
Here you are getting in your Little Mermaid Ariel little swimmers. They don't make them small enough for you so these are huge, but it's still better than having to swim in a regular diaper... Look how cute you are!
Here you are dressed in your two-piece ready to swim. Thanks to LoLo for letting us borrow one of her old bathing suits that she had grown out of. What a nice cousin!! : ) Look at that pot belly...
Here you are in the pool with daddy. You love to splash in the bath, but I guess the pool just didn't inspire those same crazy kicky-pants. You just wanted to relax that day and sit in the water with daddy. No interest in splashing or kicking, but you still had fun...
Here you were after your pool adventure. Tired and naked... : )
Just a side note, when we were getting you dressed in your bathing suit you started rubbing your feet together again. You've been doing this a lot lately and you'll rub them together for a really long time. Daddy always compares you to mommy because he says that when I'm falling asleep at night, I always rub my feet together, not realizing that I'm doing it. Looks like you're just like mommy, a little feet rubber...

Chuck E. Cheese
Today was your first exposure to Chuck E. Cheese! LoLo was having a special birthday party since she was turning 2 years old and you wanted to be there to celebrate with her! You weren't big enough to play with any of the older kids yet, but you were cheering them on from the sidelines while Nana held you.

Larry & Robin
You got to meet Uncle Larry and Cousin Robin today for the first time. They came all the way from CA to see you! You had a great time playing with them that afternoon. They even brought a special dress and headband with them as a gift for you. Larry told us that Aunt Deanne picked it out special for you. It's so cute and it's sized so it will fit you perfectly around your 1st birthday. We already have plans to take your 1 year photos in it. It is so pretty and you will be beautiful in it. We can't thank Uncle Larry, Aunt Deanne and Cousin Robin enough for the gift and we're so grateful they got to meet you while they were here. We missed you Aunt Deanne!

Bottle Holding and Soap Watching!
You're such a big girl now that you're starting to try and hold your own bottle. It still weighs too much when it's full for you to be able to hold it on your own, but here's a photo of you trying...
You also seem to think you're big enough to watch soap opera's too! Mom always records General Hospital and watches it when she gets home from work. Today, I turned it on and was in the kitchen picking up when I looked over to find you intently watching it. It was hysterical. I told your dad you were starting young...
Daddy even came over to pick you up to play with you and you can see from the photo below that you just couldn't tear your eyes away. You're an addict already, how silly!! : )
